Made for the curious.
PlanetMars.org is an independent educational guide to our neighboring world. Our aim is to make planetary science approachable and worth exploring.
Wonder, grounded in evidence.
This renewed guide builds on PlanetMars.org’s original focus: geography, atmosphere, exploration, and memorable facts. It brings those subjects into a connected reading experience with comparisons and simple learning tools.
Content was reviewed on November 3, 2026. Mission descriptions are dated summaries, not a real-time operations dashboard. Future discoveries and mission decisions may change what we know.

New pictures. Clear context.
The panoramic landscape and planetary globe were created for this redesign using AI image generation. They are artistic illustrations, not spacecraft photographs, scientific maps, or depictions of a verified viewing location.
